Microsoft Business Central / Dynamics NAV (Navision ) Modules

D 365 Business Central / Dynanmics NAV ( Navision ) divided multiple sub modules for the easiness of users. Mainly Microsoft divided application in to 10 Modules. Where some functionalities are available on multiple modules, for example Item Card.

Finance Management, Sales & Marketing, Purchase , Warehouse, Manufacturing, Human Resources ( HR ) , Job , Resource Planning , Service and Administration. Short description of each module is as follows.

Finance Management:

This module deals with all the Financial Transaction that we carry out in a company. The functionalities include, but are not limited to, G/L budgeting, financial reporting, cash management, receivables and payables, fixed assets, VAT and tax reporting, intercompany transactions, cost accounting, consolidation, multicurrency, intrastate, and more.

Sales & Marketing:

All the sales that we carry out in the company are carried out through this module. This module especially designed for the companies that want to track customer orders and determine when the items can be promised to be delivered to the customer. This area covers customers, order processing, expected delivery, order promises, sales returns, pricing, contacts, marketing campaigns, and many more.

Purchase:

This module deals with Supply chain Management that is purchase of materials needed for production of the finished goods. Purchase module is required when you buy goods and services and you want to keep track of what you have ordered from your vendors and when the goods should be delivered to your door, so you can make the stuff or ship the stuff to your customers. This includes vendors, order processing, approvals, planning, costing, and many more.

Warehouse:

Store details are tracked over in this module. Material inward acceptance and Material issues according to work order are done here. Warehouse area, you will find inventory, shipping and receiving, locations, warehouse bin contents, picking, put-aways, assembly, and many more.

Manufacturing:

This module handles with planning of material production in a company. The Planning team will be producing the finished goods considering the customer requirement and Production forecast. The production works in a company are also carried out in this module. Manufacturing module includes product design, bills of materials, routing, capacities, forecast, production planning, production order, costing, subcontracting, and many more.

Human Resources:

This module handle all the HR activities in an organizations. HR module involves basic employee tracking. It allows you to manage employees, absences, and many more.

Job

Job module designed for companies that deal with long and drawn out projects. Within this job area, you can create projects, phases and tasks, planning, time sheets, work in process, etc.

Resource planning:

This is for companies having internal resources for which you keep track of cost and / or revenue. This area includes resources, capacity, and other tools to keep track of cost and revenue for resources.

Service :

Service Module is for a company that sells items to their customers that need to be serviced periodically, with or without warranty. Within this service area, you can manage service items, contract management, order processing, planning and dispatching, service tasks, etc.

Administration:

This module handle all the admin activities in the system. Such as setup warehouse employees etc.
