D365 Business Central known Issues List
When working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, it is normal to face some errors or unexpected behaviors. Instead of searching everywhere, wouldn’t it be easier to have a single place where you can see:
- The list of known issues in Business Central
- Active issues list with any available workarounds or fixes
The purpose of this post is to create a Business Central Known Issues and Resolution List for the community. We will keep this list updated over time so you always know what’s going on and how to handle it.
Microsoft provides similar visibility in their portal, but it is only available for admin users. Do not worry we will also explain those steps later in this post so you can get real-time information when needed.
Since the official list is quite large, here we’ll focus on the currently open issues to make navigation easier. For detailed issue logs and advanced insights, please check the dedicated Administrator Section below.

E-Document email sending fails when no existing E-Document is created before send
Issue Created on: 10/06/2025 11:24 PM IST
Status: Resolved
Problem Details
When you try to send a posted sales document as an E-Document by email, it may fail if the E-Document has not been created yet.
This happens because the system looks for an existing E-Document before sending the email. If it doesn’t find one, it stops the process and the email is not sent.
You will see this issue when you choose Send -> Email from a posted sales invoice that has not been processed as an E-Document.
Workaround Steps
- As per Microsoft this issue is being worked on and will be fixed in a future update.
- Until then, advised us to avoid the problem by first creating the E-Document manually:
- Go to Actions -> E-Document -> Create, and then send it via email.
